Efficient work on a large 4K screenWith its 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), the EV2740S can display four times more information than a Full HD monitor (1920 x 1080 pixels) and more than twice as much as a WQHD monitor (2560 x 1440 pixels). With 4K, you can display multiple applications simultaneously on one screen and need to scroll less or switch between windows.
4K resolution for crystal-sharp text and imagesWhether CAD, office or video applications – the FlexScan EV2740S with 4K Ultra HD resolution supports your work with exceptional display quality. The 27-inch monitor presents text and graphics clearly and precisely thanks to a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) pixels and 163 ppi (pixels per inch).
Highest image quality through IPS panelThe monitor masters the three-part harmony for outstanding image quality: excellent resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) pixels, maximum contrast of 1000:1, and stable brightness of up to 350 cd/m². This means: you experience crystal-sharp text contours, brilliant graphics, and clear images. Thanks to the high-quality IPS panel with LED backlight, contrast and colors remain stable from every viewing angle.
Precise color controlAn image is only as good as its colors. That's why EIZO monitors feature a Look-Up-Table (LUT) with at least 10 bits, which enables much more precise color information mapping than a standard 8-bit LUT. The finest color gradations ensure that gradients are always displayed perfectly and offer individual settings. For example, white points from 4000 to 10000 Kelvin (K) can be controlled losslessly in 500 K increments.
Fast image switching, clear displayThe overdrive function accelerates the switching time so that gray-to-gray transitions occur in an average of just 6 ms. You'll see movies and fast image changes without annoying ghosting. When scrolling and repositioning windows or images, the display is readable in fractions of a second – faster than perception. Power consumption and energy efficiency are always in view.
State-of-the-art connectivity with USB-CVideo and audio playback, fast data transfer, and powering connected devices – all of this can be accomplished with a single USB-C cable. Particularly practical: the 70 W power supply via USB-C reliably charges small computers or notebooks. This creates space on your desk, as an additional computer power supply is eliminated. We have tested a small selection of various devices and the compatibility between monitor and computer for you and described it on the international EIZO website.
One monitor, many connectionsIt couldn't be simpler: you can connect most of your end devices such as PC, laptop, mouse, keyboard, or headphones directly to the monitor. This is because the EV2740S has different signal interfaces and connections. This makes your daily work easier and keeps your desk organized.

With its elegant, almost frameless design and ergonomic functions, the monitor fits naturally into your work environment, whether at home or in the office. In addition to elegant black, the housing is also available in white with matching white cables.
Protect your eyes with Auto EcoViewDay, night, bright, dark: no matter when or how you work, the Auto EcoView function continuously measures changes in ambient light and optimizes the screen to ideal brightness levels. Automatically via sensor. The benefits: annoying glare is reduced, your eyes don't tire as quickly. A special two-point control takes into account the brightest and darkest environments during the day with your desired screen brightness. Another advantage: automatic brightness adjustment can significantly reduce power consumption. Of course, you can still manually adjust the monitor. The EcoView Index gives you an indication of how efficient your settings are.
Flicker-free operationTo protect your eyes, EIZO developed a hybrid technology for controlling brightness. This combines the advantages of conventional PWM control (Pulse Width Modulation) and DC control (Direct Current). The PWM control operates at significantly higher frequencies than conventional PWM methods. The result: a flicker-free viewing experience with consistent image quality and color stability. Compared to pure DC control, you can adjust the brightness in dimly lit rooms to less than 1% of the maximum value. The advantage: your screen remains flicker-free and glare-free even under these conditions. The flicker-free operation and low blue light content of EIZO FlexScan monitors are certified by TÜV Rheinland.
Ergonomic standErgonomic and stable: the adjustable stand focuses on ergonomics. You can rotate, pan, and tilt the monitor in whatever way is most comfortable for your back, neck, and posture. It can be adjusted steplessly in height and lowered almost to the desk or the stand's base plate. This allows you to position the top line of the image ergonomically below eye level.
Picture-by-Picture: everything at a glanceThe Picture-by-Picture mode allows you to display different signal sources on one screen. You can choose which signal should be displayed on the right or left half of the image. Use the Picture-by-Picture mode, for example, when you connect two computers to one monitor or want to replace two separate screens on a computer.
Optimized color display at the touch of a buttonPreset color modes optimize the viewing of images, text, or video. There's a difference whether you're watching a video, viewing an image, browsing the internet, or writing text. With a single button press, you set the respective preset for brightness, gamma correction, and color temperature. For example: Paper Mode simulates the pleasant contrast of printed paper, protecting your eyes when reading and preventing fatigue.
Easy to operateThe front of the EV2740S is equipped with electrostatic controls instead of mechanical buttons – this guarantees easy operation and looks great too. With the Button Guide, you have all functions at a glance. A single touch of the button and the screen displays all functions and the attractive control panel. All controls and speakers are located in the frame and are oriented forward toward the user. This makes them very user-friendly in the flat, almost frameless design of the monitor.
Screen InStyle: convenient control from the PCIn addition to the on-screen menu, the EV2740S can be conveniently controlled from the PC with Screen InStyle software. Configuration options include, for example, color reproduction, power saving options, and ergonomic functions. In multi-monitor systems, settings can be applied synchronously to all connected screens with Screen InStyle.
Organize your desktop with screen layoutIn most work environments, it's common to have multiple apps such as web conferencing, word processing, browser, and other programs open and visible simultaneously. With the Screen Layout function of Screen InStyle, you can arrange the windows of different programs clearly on the screen and thus work much more efficiently. In addition to predefined layouts, you can freely choose window sizes and positions for custom layouts.
Screen InStyle Server for network managementSystem administrators can use the Screen InStyle Server application to centrally manage and control monitors connected in the network. This optimizes power consumption and simplifies asset management of monitors.
Monitor Configurator: relief for administratorsThe software allows you to create a default setup for all relevant monitor settings. This setup can be distributed via the local network to the connected monitors and thus simplifies the rollout process.
Up to 50% less power consumptionThe Auto EcoView function automatically adjusts screen brightness to changes in ambient light. This saves electricity compared to a monitor operated at constant brightness. Of course, you can still manually adjust the monitor. The EcoView Index serves as a guide for how efficiently your settings are. The EcoView Optimizer automatically reduces the backlight for dark images and thus reduces power consumption. At the same time, the signal is amplified and color tone values are adjusted. The result: you experience the usual image quality at lower consumption. These EcoView technologies reduce overall power consumption by up to 50%* compared to display at maximum brightness. Another advantage: automatic brightness adjustment can protect your eyes. *Typical power consumption when no USB Power Delivery is used.
Zero power consumption via power switchThe monitors feature an integrated mechanical power switch. This is extremely practical and energy-saving: when you turn the monitor off using the power switch, the device consumes no power at all. In standby mode, consumption is at most 0.27 watts.
Environmentally conscious use of materialsThe EV2740S consists of more than 58% recycled plastic. This reduces the amount of plastic waste reaching the environment, conserves resources, and promotes material reuse. Reducing the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in material production, such as those found in certain paints and coatings, is also of global interest. Through years of research, EIZO has succeeded in achieving a smooth, nearly homogeneous color and texture on its monitor housings without using paint. Reducing environmental impact: for the packaging of the EV2740S, EIZO uses cellulose padding. The material is made from recycled cardboard and paper and puts far less strain on the environment when disposed of than conventional polystyrene or plastic. All cables are placed in a cardboard tray instead of being individually wrapped in plastic bags.
On-demand bulk packagingEIZO offers an alternative packaging option with four monitors and four separate stands in a single shipping unit, depending on quantity and delivery time. This reduces packaging waste, increases shipping efficiency, and shortens unpacking and installation time.
Compliance with standards and guidelinesThe monitor is certified according to important and comprehensive sustainability standards such as TCO Certified Generation 10 and ENERGY STAR®. In addition, it holds an EPEAT Gold registration for compliance with strict sustainability standards at the highest level, which is further complemented by a Climate + designation based on science-based climate protection standards. The EV2740S represents a safe investment when aspects such as ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) or the United Nations' SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) need to be considered and required guidelines must be adhered to.
